    What Is WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access)?

    WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) is the successor to WEP security. It provides more robust data encryption that can use for wireless local area networks (LANs). This makes it harder for unauthorized users to access your network and allows you to configure a password, called a passphrase or key, to protect it from being hacked. The most common types of WPS security are two different schemes: Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 Personal and Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 Enterprise.

    Wi-Fi Protected Access is a security protocol for wireless local area networks. It was developed in response to serious weaknesses researchers had found in WEP. The Wi-Fi Alliance designed it to be an improved security standard for home and small office environments.

    Difference Between Wi-Fi Protected Access vs. Wi-Fi Protected Access 2(WPA2)? 

    1. WPA and WPA2 are two different security protocols used for encrypting wireless communication. They are not compatible with each other. The newer type of encryption, WPA2, is considered more secure than WPA because it uses TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol). It was developed to fix the deficiencies in WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) protocol, which has been proven vulnerable to various hacking attacks against its static encryption key.
    2. Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 also uses a development of the RSN (Robust Secure Network), called WPA-2 Enterprise, based on 802 11i standards. This allows more robust security for large-scale networks, using a server to control access.
    3. Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 is the more secure standard developed to close any loopholes in security that its predecessor might have had. While it provides better encryption, in theory, practically speaking, the chances of someone hacking your wireless connection are usually very slim.

    How To Bypass WPA? 

    If your wireless router is Wi-Fi Protected Access enabled, you can disable it by following these steps:

    • Plug an Ethernet cable into the back of the router. This cable will be used to connect to your computer or laptop’s network port.
    • Unplug any other cables, such as power cords and USB cords, to printers and scanners. Shut down your wireless-enabled computer completely.
    • Plug another Ethernet cable into one of the numbered ports on the back of your modem or broadband router (the larger box that handles connections between devices).Plug the other end into the same numbered port on your computer. Turn on all devices in this configuration; wait for them to boot up completely before step 4.
    • Open a web browser window for each device connected via Ethernet cable to the modem or broadband router.
    • Type your browser’s address bar, then type 192.168.1.1 into the box that appears. A window for your router’s login page should appear if you’re asked to log in to a firewall. If a window doesn’t appear, try typing “http://192 168 1 1 1” instead of entering your gateway number directly from step 4 Above Open the settings tab and navigate to where you can disable WPA/WPA2 security on your home network if it is currently enabled In some routers you will have to enter a username and password before any changes may be made.
    • Your wireless connection will now be completely disabled; this means no data transfers over Wi-Fi can occur until you re-enable the connection.

    How To Hack Wi-Fi Protected Access security?

    Hacking the Wi-Fi Protected Access security protocol is much more complex than its predecessor, WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy). The TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol) encryption used in WPA makes it nearly impossible for someone to eavesdrop on your wireless connection.     Wi-Fi Protected Access is the current standard for Wi-Fi security, while its successor, Wi-Fi Protected Access 2, has replaced WEP. Although both protocols are extensively used around the world, WPA2 is more secure than its predecessor.
